Tempdent's online Certificate in Dental Radiography provides you with the skills to take X-rays safely, entitling you to take radiographs unsupervised. The course runs for 9 months and you will learn how take  radiographs in in your practice.  The course is awarded by the Society and College of Radiographers who are the professional body for the diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy workforce in the UK

Please note, your practice must be willing to allow you to take radiographs of patients and to supervise you throughout your course.

Course closes 2 weeks before start date.

Who should attend

• GDC registered dental nurses wishing to obtain a postgraduate dental nursing qualification
• GDC registered dental nurses wishing to progress into dental hygiene & therapy, teaching, assessing. Completion of the Dental Radiography course can increase your chances of acceptance into these courses
• GDC registered dental nurses wishing to be able to legally take a variety of radiographs in their practice
• GDC Registrants who wish to get verifiable CPD
• GDC Registrants who wish to become Radiation Protection Supervisors

• You can book and pay online or request a call to discuss your requirements. You will need to complete an application form.

Course Fee

• This course costs £550.00 + VAT, excluding an examination fee of £100.00 plus VAT
• You will be required to pay a minimum deposit of £395.00 before your place on the course in confirmed. You will also be required to pay the exam fee in full at this stage.

• Once you have completed the Dental Radiography course you will legally be able to take a variety of radiographs in your practice without supervision.
• Training hours count towards core CPD points.
• You can be named as Radiation Protection Supervisor for the practice.
