This module looks at the layout of the dental setting including clinical and non-clinical areas. Understanding essential and best practice and how ergonomics can enhance cross infection control and  procedural compliance.

This module will help you to:

• Differentiate between and describe best and essential practice in relation to room layouts.
• Define ergonomics and link to how it can lead to better cross infection processes.
• State the need for clutter reduction.
• Define the concept of zoning.
• List the specifications for other non-work surfaces.
