The aim of this module is to enable the learner to:

• Familiarise yourself with dental anatomy and head and neck physiology for the purpose of assisting in Orthodontic Clinical Assessments.
• Identify the reasons why malocclusions occur.
• Understand Angles and Skeletal Classifications.
• Review Index Of Treatment Needs (IOTN) gradings.
• Understand common Orthodontic anomalies.
• Assist in a clinical orthodontic assessment.
• Describe the types of orthodontic procedures, and how they can be corrected.
• Deliver post operative advice to patients.
