New Partnership Announcement - Tempdent and mydentist

As we kick off celebrations for National Apprenticeship Week 2025, we are delighted to announce a brand new strategic partnership between Tempdent, the UK’s leading provider of dental apprenticeships, training, and recruitment, and mydentist, the UK’s leading provider of affordable dental care. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the advancement of dental nursing education.

A partnership committed to excellence

Under this partnership, Tempdent will become the preferred apprenticeship provider for all mydentist trainee Dental Nurses. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to delivering high-quality dental care and equipping the next generation of Dental Nurses with the skills and knowledge required for success in the profession.

Through the Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship programme, Tempdent will provide comprehensive training and support to mydentist’s trainees. Upon successful completion of the 18-month course, apprentices will achieve General Dental Council (GDC) registration, enabling them to practice legally as Dental Nurses in the UK and contribute to the highest standards of patient care across mydentist’s network of over 530 practices.

Setting new standards in dental training

This partnership comes at a pivotal time for the UK dental sector, with forecasts indicating a 13% growth in Dental Nurse apprenticeship numbers in 2025. mydentist, which supports over 3.8 million patients annually, recognises the importance of investing in high-quality training to meet the growing demand for skilled dental professionals.

Tempdent’s expertise and track record of excellence make them the perfect training provider for this initiative. Their latest Qualification Achievement Rates at 82.8% expect to exceed the national average score by an impressive 29%, which will yet again make them the most successful provider of dental apprenticeships in England. As a trusted name in dental education for over 28 years, Tempdent remains committed to empowering future dental professionals through industry-leading training and support.

Supporting apprentices every step of the way

The Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship programme delivered by Tempdent includes 15 online modules covering essential skills such as infection control, patient care, and practice safety. Apprentices benefit from a blend of live online workshops, interactive tasks, and personalised one-on-one sessions with Tempdent’s experienced Tutor Assessors.

In addition to Tempdent’s structured learning approach, mydentist’s Practice Managers and Apprentice Mentors will provide dedicated on-the-job support, ensuring apprentices gain valuable hands-on experience in a real dental practice environment.

This dual-support system guarantees that trainees not only complete their qualifications but also develop the confidence and expertise needed to excel in their roles.
