This year Tempdent turns 20 years old and we felt that the occasion deserved to be marked in a special way.
We have the great pleasure to announce the launch of a new fundraising partnership with the dental charity Dentaid.
Established over 20 years ago, Dentaid has worked in more than 70 countries delivering oral health education, training and dental treatments for people who have very limited access to dental care. Hundreds of dental professionals volunteer with Dentaid each year, bringing vital care to poor and remote communities in countries including Nepal, Cambodia, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Morocco.
We will be supporting Dentaid with fundraising efforts during the next year, starting at our 20th Anniversary Gala Ball on 2nd December in London.
Our main areas of focus will be:
- DentaidBox and DentaidBag: We will raise money for their DentaidBox and DentaidBag innovations which have revolutionised dentistry around the world. This fully portable surgery can be transported easily to outreach clinics in rural areas and to regions affected by natural disasters. It has made it quicker and more affordable to transport dentistry equipment to the places in the world where it is desperately needed.
- Oral health education in schools: Dentaid also do work with homeless and underprivileged people in the UK, and are desperately short of dental nurses to provide oral health education in schools, and to work on the mobile dental units. We will “donate” members of our staff to carry out oral health education in schools and help in the mobile dental units during their working hours.
As providers of dental nursing education, we believe strongly that everyone has the right to dental care. We are really excited to be partnering with a charity like Dentaid that are working hard to make sure people in the most vulnerable places can access dental care. ‘We really like what they stand for'.

Our fundraising team are currently hard at work planning various fundraising opportunities that we would love Tempdent’s staff, recruitment nurses, hygienists and student alumni to help support us throughout the coming year. These fundraising opportunities will be announced at our 20th Anniversary Gala Ball.
