Apprentice Dental Nurse - Together Dental

The apprenticeship in dental nursing is an 18-month government funded course by City & Guilds, a Level 3 Extended Diploma. Alongside your learning your job role within the practise will entail assisting dentists, sterilising & preparing equipment, reception duties and supporting patient experience.

About the Role

At Together Dental, you’ll be part of a welcoming and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience while working towards your Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification. This apprenticeship offers real responsibility and excellent career progression within Together Dental. Your role may include:


  • Assisting clinicians chairside in a busy practice

  • Preparing surgeries, equipment, and materials

  • Managing infection control and sterilisation to Together Dental standards

  • Accurately recording and updating patient information

  • Following Together Dental protocols, procedures, and compliance guidelines

If you are successfully appointed to this position, you will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide evidence of vaccination against Hepatitis B.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 (occasional later evening finish)

Saturday - 08:30 - 13:00 (once a month on a roster basis)


Am I eligible for the Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 16 or older.
  • Live in England and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Are not currently in full-time education.
  • Meet residency requirements (usually having lived in the UK or EEA for the past 3 years).
  • Do not already hold a qualification at the same level or higher in a related subject.
